name - Kara Oliver
rank - Lt Commander
position - First Officer (hopefully)
race - human female
age - 39
personality - Kara is very career driven, very stern and efficient. Although she likes her own company she gets on well with others (but isn't too keen on kids - sorry). She is very athletic and into her competative sports.
career - Kara was previous a test pilot in the fleet, mostly for prototype fighter vessels, before she moved on to working on the more technical side of things as well. She has worked most of her career in high risk jobs but was injured in a test that went wrong which has left her with an artificial limb (her left arm) which resulted in early retirement from this line of work as it slowed her reaction times etc. From this point she transferred into the main fleet, first working in engineering on prototype and new vessels, helping to fix glitches etc, before moving into command training and working her way up the ranks.
Her most recent posting was on the USS Alexandra as second officer (standing in for the first officer for a time), before requesting a transfer in order to further her career and progress her position to fulltime First Officer.
